advent calender day 4

Hello and welcome to day four of this free crochet pattern advent calender. Today we have some thing a bit different to make,I've come up with a pattern for a nice winter warmer and prefect Christmas gift. This cobble stitch headband is a really quick make but with lovely results and just right to keep your ears warm on these chilly winter days.

Adult winter headband by Liz Ward

You will need;
Chunky weight yarn in your choice of colour
6mm crochet hook
Wool needle

Stitches and Abbreviations
Sl st –slip stitch
dc – double crochet
tr – treble crochet

Make one
Ch 9

Row 1: dc in 2nd ch from hook, tr in next ch st, (dc in next ch st, tr in next ch st) repeat to end of chain. 9sts
Row 2: ch1, turn, (dc in the next st, tr in the next st) repeat to end of row. 9sts

Repeat row 2 until work measures 46cm, 18” Approx 52 rows.
If you want to make this for a larger or smaller head just measure the head before and make to that measurement so it’ll fit perfectly.

Fasten off leaving a long tail. Sew ends together to form a loop. Weave in any loose ends to finish.
