Advent calendar 11

Christmas wreath by Liz Ward

You will need;
Cotton DK weight yarn in green and red
3.5mm crochet hook
Wool needle
Fabric glue
Stitch marker

Stitches and Abbreviations
Sl st –slip stitch
dc – double crochet
BLO – work in back loop only through out

Wreath
Starting in green yarn and make a magic ring and work 6dc into the ring. Six sts

Rnd 1- 30: working in blo dc in each st to end. 6sts

Fasten off but don’t close the hole at the base yet.

Leaves
Re-join with same yarn to start of loop created on working BLO on rnd 1
Rnd 1-30: (ch2, dc ) in each st to the end.

Fasten off. Stuff the wreath with a pipe cleaner and curl round to form a ring. Sew together, add a hanging loop and weave in any loose ends.

Bow
Make one in red yarn

Ch 7
Row 1: dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next 5sts along ch. 6sts
Row 2-8: dc 1, turn, dc in each st to the end. 6sts

Fasten off and weave in any loose ends.

Wrap yarn around the center of the rectangle to form into a bow

Sew onto wreath and decorate as desired
