Well here he is finished with his pint of Guinness. He looks very happy now he's got a pint in his hand. I've gone for the most popular choice of name and so he will be know as Seamus. Thank you to all my followers on here and facebook for your suggestions there is a lot of love out there for Seamus and that makes me feel great and makes me want to work harder.
Now I just have to see if I can find him a home so I'll be putting him on etsy soon.
Its the first of march today and that means its time for me to give away another custom made amigurumi to one of my facebook likes and the winner this month is Jules Harper. Jules if you like to contact me through here or facebook and tell me what you would like me to make for you I'll get my hooks into action.

St Patrick days omnipom
Its been a while since I made an omnipom so with St Patricks day coming up I thought it was a good excuse to make one with a bit f an Irish theme.
I knew that I wanted one of his eye patches to be a shamrock so that I had to use emerald green felt but I was a bit stuck thinking up the main colour for him I was thinking maybe lime green but then I'm a bit mad for lime green and have used it a lot recently so I decided to ask on facebook. Thanks to the suggestions of my facebook fans who helped out with this and I deiced to go with Evi's suggestion and go for a black body.
Instead of buttons I've used sequins and beads for his face decoration as I didn't want buttons to distract from his eye patch. Now all I have to do is make a shamrock for his bum and I can't decide if he needs a waistcoat?
He'll need a name too if anyones got any suggestions?
I've actually made something on a monday so I feel I can post it on handmade monday

So here he is. It wasn't planned but I love the way he looks slightly drunk, maybe I need to crochet him a pint of Guinness?
I'm happy with the shamrock eye and I couldn't resist a little green top hat.
Only problem with black yarn is the stuffing showing through, I tried keeping my tension even tighter than normal but the stuffing is still visible in places. I guess its just one of those things and I'll have to learn to live with it.Instead of buttons I've used sequins and beads for his face decoration as I didn't want buttons to distract from his eye patch. Spring fairy
Welcome to my mad world of omnipoms the spring fairy. She's a bit grumpy because she's worried the snow will stop the daffodils from flowering. Her dress is bright orange with a yellow t-shirt underneath and lime ribbon. she's the colours of spring. Her wings glitter and so do her pants cause every girl needs a bit of sparkle.
I've really enjoyed making the spring fairy. Her hair is made from squiggle yarn and was a right pain in the behind to make. all hope of following a pattern when out the window as I couldn't see the stitches but its worth the effort cause the hair looks so fun. Her dress is knitted in the round on 4 double pointed needles and was based on a dress I made for some older dolls but as I never wrote that pattern down it was a bit make it up as you go along . Luckily it worked out and it fit nicely. I had to add the button decoration on her dress cause it wouldn't be one of my doll if it didn't have buttons on it. She has buttons on her shoes too, I can't help myself sometimes.
Right now to stop procrastinating cause doing the legs is boring and finish of my octopus.

Omnipoms Limoncello and Pistachio
Here are limoncello and Pistachio the omnipom twins.
I love these little buttons. They come in pack of different in shapes and sizes. I get them from work but you can get them from any good haberdashery.
As with the other Omnipoms these have lavender sachets inside, they release there scent when they are cuddled.
These two dolls are now up for sale on etsy

inspiration
I know i've been posting a lot but i haven't been crafting a lot. yesterday was the first day i picked up a crochet hook since Andy died. I've been showing you stuff i was working on before and yesterday i manage to finish some dolls that have been lurcking around but i wanted to start something new. I use google images a lot to get inspiration and love looking at japanese toys. I found this great image, I love the eyes on the bunny, I had to have a bash at recreating those eyes.

Well here you go cut from natural felt. Bright orange and lime green. Blanket stitch along the eyelid makes great lashes.
so here he is Tony the evil bunny. he's a similar pattern to the Omnipoms, maybe he's their evil cousin

The Omnipoms are coming
The Omnipoms are something I’ve been working on for a while. These little amigurumi are a group of friends who love bright colours, flowers in their hair and of course buttons. They are much simpler than my larger dolls but they still have a lot of character. The pattern is still developing but when I get it right it will be available to download.
These sleepy Omnipoms are lavender scented. They have a lavender bag inside so as they are hugged and squeezed by the owners their scent is released.

Here are my nieces and nephews showing you how much fun they are.
